Over the past few years, there has been a strong growth in the variety of diagnostic hardware used in oncology. These technologies include traditional X-ray examinations and their variants (roentgenoscopy, roentgenography, etc.), ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance tomography (MRT), conventional angiography, various methods and techniques of nuclear medicine, and NLS methods, all of which have been widely adopted in oncology with the help of Metatron systems. This growth is driven by the increasing importance and complexity of NLS hardware and the increasing complexity of individual devices; and the general integration of these methods with various diagnostic techniques to address specific anatomical regions, systems, or pathologies.

In oncology, NLS diagnostics primarily addresses fundamental issues such as pre-disclosure of tumor disease, oncological diagnosis, staging, and outcome monitoring. Currently, we can speak of the development of specific trends in NLS diagnostics, which are implemented at all stages of oncology care and require a variety of organizational, technical, and technological approaches. Such tasks include:

1. Early (preclinical) diagnosis of new growths or screening for neoplastic diseases;

2. Evaluation of pathological organ and tissue changes using noninvasive NLS techniques;

2.1. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pathological growths, particularly those involving neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases, with anatomical and functional characterization;

2.2. Staging of cancerous growths, including traditional monitoring of primary growth prevalence, regional lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis;

2.3. Monitoring the outcomes of surgical, medical, and radiotherapy treatments, including actual changes in tumor tissue, as well as complications and responses during the healing process;

2.4. Post-treatment patient monitoring.

Each of the above tasks can be addressed by specific pathological processes, which also require the combined use of NLS diagnostics and various radiographic techniques. The principle of sequential advancement from simpler techniques to more complex NLS diagnostics has been predominant in recent years, but now a fundamentally different approach is gaining widespread adoption. It involves selecting the most effective method, including the most expensive, or a combination of these methods, to achieve the best and fastest results.
